In two days Mike Abele and I will be heading to Lake Tahoe for our 1 year anniversary trip (many thanks to Katie Crain who will be taking on little Tommy during our trip!!!). In reflection, wow, the last year has gone by so fast. Tommy has grown so much, and enriched my life immeasurably. I would not be the person I am today if it wasnt for that little man coming into my life. A life I cant imagine now without Mike. He has made me grow so much as a person, done a wonderful job of putting up with my crap, and given me countless laughs and never-ending love. Through him, Tommy and I have a whole new family, who have all been loving and accepting of us both. Mike is the strongest and kindest of men today, and my perfect companion. We have a lot of hard times in our future. Struggling through the usual toils of work and finances, upcoming business ventures, working with (and feeding) Bernice and any future danes, a growing and active baby boy, continuing to chip away at work on the house where we can ... it all adds up, but I wouldnt opt to do it with anyone else. I know that with Mike by my side and Tommy on my hip, we will get through things just fine. For this week, we are all about the fun! Looking forward to a small trip to the mountains. We will be raising some glasses of champagne to everyone who helped us get this far :) we love you guys!
