In view of pending elections, the SADC Heads of States are trying - TopicsExpress

In view of pending elections, the SADC Heads of States are trying to avert a political storm with a high potential of loss of life en-masse, instability and pandemonium in Zimbabwe. I therefore find the following statement unfortunate, and it explains reasons why Africans do not value human life: "The Constitutional Court is likely to dismiss the application before hearing the arguments because accepting it will effectively make the Sadc heads of states a de-facto higher court, in the process creating a precedent where in future, litigants will approach not only Sadc, but the Africa Union and the United Nations and other bodies, a development that will open the floodgates", said Professor Lovemore Madhuku. I therefore pose the same question as Tsvangirai, "... why is it about power and not the people?"
