In view of the major issues experienced by many people locally during the flooding in February we are now in the process of compiling a list of volunteers who can be called upon in the event of a similar situation occurring again, or any other major incident occurring locally. We are looking for volunteers who have vehicles that would be deemed suitable to help in the collection/delivery and installation of sand bags, especially to homes that are known to be at risk of damage. In times such as this there are vulnerable people who may be comforted by a visit from a volunteer, along with the offer of assistance to pick up essential groceries or medication. Or maybe you are certified in First Aid and could be of assistance if needed.
