Inbox Question: (Helpful Responses Only! ) My daughter is three years old and will be four in January. I signed her up for pre-k and she starts in august at maestevens elementary here in cove. Her speech is delayed, though she is getting better!!! But she cant say a lot of words correctly. I usually can figure out what shes saying for the most part. Im going to talk to her doctor about speech therapy at her next appointment. Anyways, my concern is her going to pre-k.. Im having anxiety about it and she doesnt even start until august. What if someone hurts her or a teacher is being mean to her. Im petrified honestly to the point Im thinking about pulling her out and she hasnt even set foot in the school yet. Has anyone gone through this feeling?? I tried calling to ask questions about when we would meet her teachersp I tried calling and ask questions about when we would meet her teachers, open house, and depending on the time she is assigned to attend if she wanted me to can I stay for her meal? Is there aides in the room? Who will bring her to the bathroom? I wanted to know about the structure of the classroom and how they do things. The lady on the phone wasnt very friendly and didnt answer my questions besides saying we will find out in august who he teacher is. She said theyll call ya or something so I started feeling uneasy about the whole thing now. Any advice and does anyone experience with this school and their staff??
