Inciweb: 8-26-13 Afternoon Operational Update (Salmon River Complex Wildfire): Forks Complex Afternoon Operational Update 08/26/13 Firefighters on the Butler Fire have successfully secured lines from Butler Flat to the headwaters of McNeal Creek this afternoon. This area will transition into a monitor and patrol mode by the end of the day. Firelines in the Nordheimer Creek area to the headwaters of Granite Creek have been prepped for future firing operations. Fire crews are constructing lines directly along the fire’s edge in the area south of Orleans Creek. On the Salmon River Fire, reconnaissance is taking place in the Tanner Creek area in preparation for direct fireline construction. Firefighters are also monitoring the fire’s progression down Jackass goo.gl/aZ8kyZ
