Increased recognition and awareness that animals are sentient beings. Please write with your concerns in regard to the lack of animal care,abuse and cruelty which is continuing in Cyprus. Please inform them that the Authorities who have the power to implement the laws, are indeed breaking the laws themselves and using their powers to prevent animals from being treated with the correct care and environment to which they should be. That the EU money which was received by this country has not been used for the benefit for the animals by correct Shelter provisions, qualified carers and workers, and that it is the tireless work from both Cypriot and foreign people on the Island as well as donations from abroad, which only scrape the surface in order to help the ever growing and overflowing amount of dogs in Cyprus who are abused on a daily basis.
