Incredible hike today! 9.8 miles, 3,606 ft elevation, and gorgeous views from the peaks of Baldface Mountain in New Hampshire! I learned my lesson and should have made Sam wear booties on his feet - with 5 miles left to go, he ripped his paw pads and wouldnt walk. So we took turns carrying him (55lbs!) down the rock cliffs. We made makeshift socks for him out of a shirt and paracord and he was able to walk once we got one flat ground. It was an interesting adventure but truly a great time. Super proud of our little dog Link for doing all but 1 mile on his own!
