Indeed, Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people (63:6) Defiance. And lack of subservience. It is not the hypocrites of Madinah, its us. For we are the ones whod deliberately yield to the temptations of temporal allure - of this world we live in. We are the ones whod blatantly defy any significant form of compliance to His Word. Wed do what we please and care less about the fact that its Haram, Halal, Makrooh or whatsoever. And then in those contemplative hours of ours, those darkest of hours we wonder to ourselves if wed ever be allowed guidance. If Allah would ever make us follow in the footsteps of the Enlightened lot. And do you remember what you tell yourself in that moment? That He would guide you one day? Oh well, He himself proclaims that he wont - until and unless you cease being the defiantly disobedient one. Until and unless I stop doing what has been disallowed to me- unashamedly and publicly.
