Indeed! If you have over say 1,000 employees (combined) in the various companies you own(or partially-own), you should be forced to carry at least 1yr of full unemployment compensation for every worker in your workmans comp insurance policy. PLUS one full year of company-paid medical coverage.The way the racket is rigged currently people like Trump privatize the profits (i.e. off-shoring them) & socialize the losses (forcing them to go on public financial & medical assistance, etc. when they get laid off or fired). Hell, at Walmart they start socializing their employees(encouraging them to sign up for food stamps, etc.) WHILE THEYRE STILL WORKING! In Germany a company cant just lay off workers. They have to provide a plan that will get the worker their next job. It may mean training, relocation. But whatever the plan, the Company must follow (and fund) it until all the employees are employed.
