India and Myanmar Connections / Yesterday A Friend from Myanmar Visited us, Most Indians still Says Myanmar as Burma, As It was Called Earlier. We had a lot of talks with Tea and Snacks on Present Life in Rangoon , Yangon, Mandalay, Etc. How Things had Changed than Before, The Canvas of Ongoing Political Events, Myths and History , Rural Life, Food, Films, Theatre, Arts, Etc, Burma had so many Cultural Bond with India, We Both are Connected with Great Himalayan Traditions, We Share Borders with Myanmar with Four States of North East of India, Even During my Grandfather,s Time Before Formation of Bangladesh , Burma was Next Door Neighbour to State of Bengal Like Nepal or Bhutan , From My State and many States of our India many People lived in Myanmar then, And they used to visit There Often, Same the Burmese People Did, Lot of Cultural and Political and Social and Historic Exchanges between India and Burma from Ancient times, I Love the Burmese Culinary Arts, Costumes, Jewelleries, Literature, Art and Architechture and Performing Arts, Once in Eastern Part of India There was a Proverb in Bangla Language which says Moger Muluk This Proverb Preserves the Memories about the Presence and History of Burmese Warrior Tribes and Their way of Rules. This says about The Land Once Ruled by Burmese Mogs .Two States of Present India were Invaded Once in History by some Burmese Warrior Tribes, Then Comes Ancient Exchanges of Spiritual Influences of India and Burma, Many Trade Exchanges , Food, Fashion, Language, Culture to our Long Connection and Influences of Indigenous People in India and Burma.I love Ancient Cultural Heritage and Old Connections of India and Myanmar. Many of our Writers wrote Novels where the locations are in Burma, Many Indian Films Shows Locations of Burma , Actually Which are shot in studios of India, Still you can Find Lot of People in Myanmar with Indian Origin. Same in India many People with Burmese Origin.
