India became independent in 1947 after centuries of colonial conquest and adopted a firmly democratic political system, with multifarious parties, freedom of speech and extensive political rights. A sturdy economic growth replaced the almost complete stagnant attribute of the protracted rule of the Raj. But letdowns can be visualized today at different quarters. The derisory utility of public resources generated by economic growth, unrelenting inadequacy both of social and physical services may be the genuine cause. But it is good to know that inspite of these inadequacies India is overtaking other countries in its rate of growth. Good Luck India and we Indians!!
