India is witnessing a major shift of political power from farmers in the hinterland to the youth in cities, towns and villages. Moreover, a majority of voters today want less government involvement in their lives and even lesser intervention in the economy. The BJP must provide an alternate economic vision that would offer hope and fulfil the aspirations of youth as well as the urban and rural poor. Economic polarization of voters is by far the best strategy for the party to score an emphatic win in the upcoming general elections.
