Indian Football team Ranked # 156 ;albeit a Goa centric Team India-Goa/ men in Blue --- has outlived and created a History of sorts by winning Gold in the football event @ d Lusofonia Games. Previously d 1st & 2nd editions were won by Portugal & Cape Verde respectively. They beat Late Eusebios Moc[z]ambique in a clinical fashion thumping them by a 3~2 margin. :) :) :) Our Goan lads viz. Goan wonder boy who plys his trade in RSAs Capetown based Club: Brandon Ferns, Skipper Mandar Rao Dattarao Dessai, Meldon Dsilva and Dom. Sahil Tavora De Noronha shone brightly. Heres wishing they achive more laurels for the country and the state Goa in the cuming dayz ahead...!!!! {Also, wishing that the Santosh Trophy Futbol Tourney which was popular as a Natl tournament all across India untyl half-a-decade back brings the son of the soil criterion back..;not as a chauvinistic-parochial-regional suggestion but, that it truly brings to fore the true local talent of the respective Indian States players...this isnt applicable to Railways and Services.. This tournament is even much popular then the Ranji Trophy was indicated n proven when d ckt natl tournament only grabbed eye-balls when Sachin played his farewell 1st class game in a remote Harya Town :P }.
