Indian army presence directly related to graph of violence: Omar Says VK Singh’s statement dented image of pro-India leaders Srinagar, September 26: In occupied Kashmir, puppet Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has said that the origin of Kashmir dispute is long back associated with the Partition that took place in 1947 when the future of all States was decided other than Jammu and Kashmir, adding that presence of Indian Armed forces in the territory is directly related to the graph of violence. Omar while talking to a European delegation, led by Joao Cravinho that called on him in Srinagar, underlined the need of sustained dialogue between India and Hurriyet and India and Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue once for all. He told the visiting delegation that all the states acceded to India and then merged with it, but Kashmir only acceded and did not merge. “That is why we have a special status, our own constitution and the state flag,” according to an official handout released by his office. In reply to a query, Omar Abdullah said that the presence of Indian Armed forces was directly related to the graph of violence. The delegation included Ambassador of Greece, I. E. Raptakis, Ambassador of Lithuania, L. Talat-Kelpsa, Ambassador of Austria, B. Wrabetz, Ambassador of Poland, P. Klodkowski, Ambassador of Ireland, F McLaughlin and others. Meanwhile, breaking his silence over the statements of former Army Chief General VK Singh that puppet ministers were on the payroll of Army, Omar Abdullah told reporters after inaugurating an exhibition in Srinagar that the ‘accusations’ had dented the image of all ‘mainstream’ (pro-India) leaders in Kashmir. He said that he would be formally taking up the matter with New Delhi for action. “I won’t say whatever the General has said are revelations, as they are accusations. I don’t think it is appropriate for me to say anything other than the fact that this effort is being made to vilify and villainize all ‘mainstream’ political parties, which is extremely unfortunate.” “All the mainstream (pro-India) politicians are today being looked with suspicion. I think that is extremely unfair. It is important that the Government of India conducts a threadbare inquiry and even if the funding, whatever there may be, that should be shared with us,” Omar said.
