India’s first e-Cabinet meet Today is Dr. Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya’s birth anniversary which is celebrated as Engineers Day in India. On this remarkable day, I take pride in stating that our government set a trend by holding India’s first paperless e-Cabinet meeting. It was astounding to see my Cabinet colleagues browse through websites and files. With changing times where the world is a Global Village, we need to keep up with trends and technological advancements and incorporate them in our daily lives. As a public representative, I have always believed that technology can change the lives of the poor and transform our society into a Knowledge Hub. It is this sort of big thinking that has led Google to become one of the largest and most innovative tech companies in the world. Broadband is today a critical infrastructure in the growing global digital economy. This is part of our five grids where we wish to see every citizen in the state using technology and the Internet for every service. I’m determined to revamp Andhra Pradesh into a digital state.
