Indie artists, I cannot stress this enough. If you approach someone about an opportunity, please take the time to know who they are and what they do. Opening dialogue with a link is not the way to go. Instead, send a note of interest with an introduction. Then ask if they have interest in your music. People in the industry are constantly bombarded, and some of us just delete those sending unsolicited links.
