Infertility affects so many and is a disease that is suffered - TopicsExpress

Infertility affects so many and is a disease that is suffered quietly and in isolation. I’m breaking the silence surrounding infertility and I am counting on your support! This year I am helping to support the important work of RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association by participating in the Walk of Hope. The Walk of Hope will help find a voice for the 1 in 8 couples battling infertility and bring this disease out of the shadows. When you support me with a donation you’re helping RESOLVE to provide educational programs and provide support to more than 1.5 million women and men nationwide. No gift is too big or too small! Our infertility journey is long and complicated and has been a dark shadow over us for most of our marriage. I’m happy to share as many details as you want to know but it’s more than any single post can handle (involving years of treatment, more tests and poking and prodding than most people experience in a lifetime, multiple surgeries and procedures, countless dollars, loss after loss and one devastation after the next). RESOLVE has connected me with valuable resources at no cost including an amazing monthly support group. Infertility treatments are EXTREMELY expensive and any resource that you can find that is provided without a cost is such a gift. The walk is this weekend – September 20. After suffering another devastation this week, I’ve decided to walk (sorry it’s so last minute). Thank you for helping me to make a difference! Because 1 in 8 is someone you know – it’s me (and most likely, someone else too). familybuilding.resolve.org/site/TR/WalkofHope2014/General?px=2071965&pg=personal&fr_id=1190
