Infinite realities exist that are outside the reach of our observations. We know this to be true. Yet, too often Christians are labeled as crazy for making assertions about the spiritual world, God, and heaven. Faith is not just closing your eyes and imagining things that down deep in your heart you don’t really think are true. Faith is not mysterious power working in us. Faith is not positive thinking because even New Age movement teaches to be positive. Faith is our obedience by believing in God. God works at the level of man’s capability by granting His grace to those who exercise their faith. Faith and grace go together compared to the two wings of a bird, whereby it cannot fly without both wings. Faith is trusting in the abilities and faithfulness of Christ to work on our behalf. Every step of trusting in God diminishes our trusting in self, and increases our access to His grace. Paul said that, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
