Influenced recently by photos of HONY, Ive motivated myself to pick up a book I told myself Id finish reading a long time ago! I promise not to get too preachy lol. All of humanity in different places and times is equal in terms of human rights and dignity, and they are one before God, whatever their physical and cultural differences may be. Tribes, nations and races, as well as languages and cultures may represent a convenient categorization for practical or scientific considerations, but they should NEVER conceal the equal human essence and rights of different individuals or groups, or become barriers among them. Peoples of the whole world should know, not just the names of each others countries on the map, but the whole material and cultural circumstances of various human groups, so that they may be mutually enriched with their positive characteristics and mutually supported against negative ones. This is the real knowing and recognition of one another which leads to universal cooperation and solidarity.- American Muslims: Voir Dire (Speak the Truth).
