Influenza scientists at five U.S. sites are to receive funding from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to collaborate with investigators around the globe. The Centers of Excellence for Influenza Research and Surveillance (CEIRS) are designed to advance understanding of influenza viruses and how they cause disease.
