Infomercial Time: Cleaning Fee I am very clean and I always clean after myself when I leave...can you take the cleaning fee off I dont understand why it cost so much for cleaning I would rent from you but refuse to pay that much for cleaning....this is ridiculous Owners hear this so many time. Let me explain the cleaning fee. 1. Hotel/motel cleaning fee is included in your nightly fee as they pay their staffs by the hours and NOT per job like a condo owner. Been that they are pay hourly, the cleaning staff DOES NOT have to provide room amenities: shampoo, soap, toilet ......as the hotel supplies that. Cleaning company that clean condo are pay PER JOB....the larger the condo....the more expensive it is. The cleaning crew provide their OWN cleaning supplies, many of the condo amenities such as toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, soap.......so before the cleaning crew even COME INTO the condo...they already spend money. UNLESS you plan to buy extra toilet paper, the same brand dishwasher soap, shampoo, soap.....I dont think it is very feasible. Even more, some owners, such as myself, required that sheets, towels....be laundry NOT in the condo but a laundry service. I am sure you know how to wash linens, but....i am a germ freak and do like my bleach...lol 2. Do you really want to go on vacation to clean? I dont :-). Cleaning is more than swiping the floor & dusting the appliances. Let me give you 3 examples here: my studio take a minimum of 1-1.5 hour for 1 cleaning crew...not bad but so is the cleaning fee. My 1 bedroom with the cute bunks that are a NIGHTMARE to make...anywhere from 1.5hr to 2 hrs for 1 staff. My 2 bedrooms /2 baths...you are looking at 2.5-3hrs for 1 staff. Cleaning involve: dusting ALL furniture, ceiling fans, swiping floor prior to washing them, cleaning tub, toilet, dusting light fixture, cleaning all electronic with special cleaner, washing inside of refrigerator, wiping all kitchen cabinet, making sure stove is clean and not clean it as well, making beds, removing and washing rugs......them presenting towels in a professional way and, in my case, making cute stuff on beds..lol. Do you really want to go on vacation and at the end of a nice and stress-less stay have to do all of this? I dont.....and since I only offer what I want offer to me....I do not let anyone clean. 3. Finally, no offense but..your clean MAY NOT be the same than mine. I am OCD as you cant believe...I want to make sure my condo is sanitize & clean:-). ALL the owners on this rental page have beautiful condos. They business is base on review and word to mouth. You have no idea the efforts and time some owners spend in their condo to make sure that their guests and/or friends have the PERFECT stay with them and this cant be achieve if the guests walk in into a unit that as a surprise in a toilet (I know...gross but happen to me when I rented from someone who left someone clean after them a long time ago) or dirty floor and/or counters to only name few. So....paying $50/1hr for a studio is a ripped of....ok. Let use $50-$20 laundry service=$30 $30-gas to get there, cleaning product, insurance, supplies= $15-20 left It is what the cleaning staff leave with her in her pocket....$15-$20 dollar ...and that is after a nice clean. Now, sometime the clean people are not as clean..they still get pay the same. Would you do it for that amount????? They are still some mom & pop places that let people rent for real cheap, dont pay taxes and let you clean when you leave. They are not on this page. ALL the condos on this page are legitimate BUSINESS and offer QUALITY for your money. ALL the owners on this page are striving to give you the BEST stay you ever had. That is why...you are charge a cleaning fee. I hope this explain it :-) PS If it make folks feel better..I pay the SAME cleaning fee than you when I go because...I aint going to the beach to clean :-).
