Information passed to us at work concerning the street drug Krokodil that is being sold as Heroin. If you know a Heroin user please make them aware of the results of using this drug. Frequent or continued use causes gangrene to begin internally. Sores will begin to appear around or near the injection sites but by the time a user sees sores, they are already in the later stages of gangrene. -The physical damage is atrocious. Skin is atrophied down to the bone and literally looks as though it is melting or rotting off. Minor use and results often have to be addressed with IV antibiotics and skin grafts. Prolonged use results in amputation of limbs frequently. Full blown addicts are usually dead due to septic infections within 2-3 years.
