Ingham – Trebonne Hotel – 1926 – Premises owned and occupied by George Kidd Fraser, wife and seven children. 3 sitting rooms and 15 bedrooms exclusive of those required for family. Having one bar facing Stone River Road, and stabling accommodation for four horses. 1927 Flood – People came there for safety. Nina Costanzo told of her father and uncle taking them there in the buggy. Water was up to the bar and in the shop next door, up to the counter. The men tied a rope from the hotel to the shop and clung to it so as not to be swept away in the current. They brought food from the shop to the hotel. 1931 – The two storied wooden Trebonne Hotel was destroyed by fire in the early hours of Monday, March 23rd, 1931. There were few boarders in residence, and one man jumped from the balcony. Abramo Ganza, who had the lease, was away, and the barman in charge was playing cards with other in the dining room. The fire began between the kitchen and store room, all that was saved were 3 chairs and a table. Hotel owned by G.K.Fraser of Brisbane. A new brick 2-storey Trebonne Hotel opened with a flourish on January 31st, 1932. It has a circular bar, dining room, parlours, billiard room, and 12 rooms to the balcony and wide verandahs all round, plus a detached kitchen.
