Ingrids procedure was a surgical success! They were able to clear tissue out from around the SVC and didnt have to open the heart or reconfigure any of the original transplant configurations. From what they saw, this cleared the pathway and eliminated all imbalances in pressure. Now we see how quickly she can recover and if this fixes the underlying problem that threw everything off last week. The doctors are confident that it will. Whats next? Well, shell have to heal from the actual surgery, but thats really only limited to her original transplant scar they reopened and the soft tissue of her sternum. Shell also have to start taking feeds consistently. After shes eating and healed, shell be able to come home, but theres no set date. We just have to wait and see.
