Initial they said it was preliminary results, now the final - TopicsExpress

Initial they said it was preliminary results, now the final results are out and still 72.9% of the SHS class of 2014 has failed. Are we just going to accept this as just another failure or is it time we sit up and look at the root cause of a gradual creation of foot soldiers and unemployed youth? Considering that the top twenty schools had a failure rate of 2% or less, how have the other schools across the nation fared? Considering that not all Ghanaian children can go to these top schools is it not time for a radical look at the quality of education especially at the High School level? Lastly if even whilst parents pay the results are so diabolically bad, should we be dreaming or even considering the option of free SHS, considering that statutory payments from government are always in arrears? Let the discussion begin. news.peacefmonline/pages/education/201408/212016.php
