Initiation: Understanding and transcending the ego is the purpose of the process of Initiation. Not developing super human powets which is a side effect if following spiritual disciplines.When the ego is transcended you will awaken to the truth not just the real. Reality can ecist based on half truths or even on lies. However seeing the trith does not make you right in fact your ego in a last effort to elevate itself can be come self righteous and judgemental by comparison to those less evolved looking down rather than looking up and seeing how fragile and smallit really is.in comparison to the whole. The ego is a servant. who rebelled to become a master in a world of the blind. Masquerading but in reality is lost and has no connection to the Divine no vision but has talent and creative powers to test the weak persons. of little. faith, and understamding.
