Injury - update After the crash in the second free practice session at Cadwell Park on Saturday September 23 I was in the medical center at the circuit diagnosed with a fracture of left wrist. I was sent to a hospital in Hull where my wrist was straightened. After returning home I visited Dr. Martin Scheichl who did several surgeries of my knees and he sent me to see wrist specialist Dr. Petr Toufar. Traumatologist of hospital in Ceske Budejovice After another X-ray and CT examination Dr. Toufar did surgery on Friday August 29. Intra-articular comminuted fracture of distal radius was fixed by TCP plate. Approximately two weeks after the surgery cast will be taken off and I will start my physiotherapy. Originally I wanted to be back for Assen but this is unfortunately impossible due to my injury and I hade to move my return for Silverstone. Also Silverstone race will be difficult because under normal circumstances I would have had a hand fixed in cast for 4-5 weeks. Anyway I will do everything possible to be ready for Silverstone, but well know more after removal of cast and beginning physiotherapy. I will keep you updated about further progress.
