Injury Accident Sioux Falls, South Dakota: On June 13, 2014 at approximately 8:41p.m., officers were summoned to 6th Street and Cleveland Avenue in response to an injury accident. An investigation disclosed that John Michael Campbell, age 39, of Sioux Falls, was westbound on 6th Street in a 1995 Chevy Blazer. Campbell was driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed and struck a 2004 BMW 325 driven by Berdin Thongchanh Soukkeo, age 46, of Sioux Falls, who was stopped at the red light, also westbound at 6th and Cleveland. After the impact, the BMW was launched into the ravine in the NW corner of the intersection. The driver and one occupant in the Blazer and the driver and one occupant in the BMW were all transported to Avera McKennan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed from the scene. Campbell was charged with multiple charges to include three counts of vehicular battery and DWI. Soukkeo was also charged with DWI. The investigation continues.
