They were given time to freshen up and relax. Evening time and cool time activities are on at camp. Children have been divided into different groups and are engaged in different activities around the camp site. We will have solo time later in the evening. This is the time they sit alone and think about the days events and write in their cool books. Group discussion in their activity groups will follow. We will have soup followed by dinner and lights out. Few cases of homesickness being tackled through discussion and engagement. :) T7 Update --------------- The morning session of activities went well and the children returned to camp by lunch time. Cool time activities are now on at camp. The rock climbers are doing rifle shooting. The Bikers are cleaning their bikes and will have some group games on camp after. The backpackers left for a night early evening and will trek and set up a camp site out of the campus. They will also cook their own diner tonight. Lots of excitement and the children are looking forward to the experience. The weather is clear and pleasant since the sun has gone down. All the children are well, healthy and engaged in activities :) T8 Update -------------- Children reached the campus around 2:15 pm and were all smiles as they walked into the camp. They were greeted by our team of instructors and campus chief. Hot lunch was ready for them. Post lunch, the campus chief briefed them on the dos and donts on the camp. This was followed by introduction of the instructors, division of the children into groups and tent allocation. They have been given time to rest and settle in. All are well and no signs of tiredness are visible on their excited faces! We will know have some light games and ice breakers post tea and snacks to help them know each other and mix around :) UB2 Update ----------------- The children enjoyed the skill building session and are now busy packing and preparing for the expedition. A session was run by the instructors with the group where they were informed of the material to be carried (food, camping equipment, etc.), route that would be explored, and how to pack for the next few days. The group members are very excited and eager to take on the challenge! The children will leave the camp early morning tomorrow.
