Inna Lillahi Wa inna alaihim rajiun! It is with deep sadness but total submission to the will of Allah that i received the painful news of the passing away of my dear friend and brother, Ali Baba Yakubu who died suddenly in Abuja yesterday. Ali Baba was a gentleman, a very brilliant mind, an intelligent young man and a very patriotic Nigerian. To us, a dear friend has left us unceremoniously. To his family, a pillar of support has fallen. To Zuru Emirate, a loving son has gone. To his only son, the best friend, the best companion, the best father, the strongest and most supportive hand is lost. Ali B is survived by family members and an only son, having lost his wife a few years ago following an armed robbery attack. Kindly join us in praying to Allah to grant him peace and forgiveness. May Allah accept him in to His Jannat and grant his family, especially his very young and only son, the fortitude to bear this very incalculable and irreparable loss. I spoke to Ali B only two days before he went away. None of us knew that death was waiting for him by the corner. His last words were Eazee, we shall talk a lot when i come home soon. I dont know what he wanted to tell me. Im still wondering. He was very lively and full of life throughout our six minutes of telephone conversation. It is difficult to believe that dear Ali Baba is no more but of course, Ali Baba Yakubu has gone home to wait for me. Until we meet to part no more, rest in peace, In shaa Allah, Ali Baba.
