[Insight with Kelvin Fong and Cijay Tew] Based on the article - TopicsExpress

[Insight with Kelvin Fong and Cijay Tew] Based on the article by our Deputy Prime Minister, what is your opinion on this? In our opinion, as an investor ourselves, we are glad that the government has done a great job by introducing all the measures step by step. Their intention is very clear, they do not want the market to CRASH, they want the property market to stabilize instead of a sharp increase which is not healthy for all the investors. If the market crash, a lot of investors will be selling their properties at very low price and end up crashing the market. This will definitely affect many investors out there. What the government is trying to do, their objective is to send a signal to all buyers out there to be prudent when comes to investment in real estate as these are big tickets item. Therefore, we always advise all buyers out there, get an agent who can work out a proper financial plan before you commit. As for the correction in prices, we felt that the high end market will continue to be affected due to the heavy ABSD involved. As for the mass market, most of the owners are staying there as a result the price correction will be marginal. We believe all home owners will agree with us that we are not keen to sell our property at a loss or even lower the selling price. We always emphasize two most important factors before committing into buying a property: 1. You must be able to determine the potential upside 2. You must able to measure the risk based on factual and analysis and not based on emotion. Above stated is just our opinion feel free to comment your thoughts.
