Inspiration - meet Michelle...on paper shes paralyzed, literally that what her medic records will tell you. she refused to let it define her. 10 years ago Michelle fell 6 floors during what should have been routine training at the fire academy. She was near the top of an iron ladder a fixed to the side of the training building, they had run the drill several times over the first week of training. This day Michelle lost her grip, literally her hand released involuntarily and she started falling head first, miraculously there was one man on the ladder below her, it saved her life. her helmet hit his on the way down and it flipped her upright. She landed on her feet, The impact quickly landed her on her tail bone. I wont list all of her original injuries, you can imagine. Her survival is a miracle alone. They told her she wouldnt walk again, she proved them wrong. she accomplished that long before she came to us. She truly AMAZES me every day. Michelle has been with us 8 months now and her increase in strength and stability is just jaw dropping. She understandably relied on the wall for balance, notice her rope skills! She no longer uses the wall to stabilize her feet on push-ups again list of accomplishments goes on.....shes now working hard on single leg stability, she will get it! We are blessed to play a role in her journey. Michelle is a real example of relentless determination, no excuses and no quitting!
