Inspiration & Hybridity for all our dancers out there Alesandra Seutin, Artistic Director of Vocab Dance Company is the first and only UK dance artist to have been selected by icon Germaine Acogny the Mother of African Contemporary Dance, to be part of the transmission of her technique. The aim of VDC work is to help audiences see the connection between modern African dance forms and traditional dance through the fusion created when contemporary dance and Urban Dance are added. Alesandra Seutin wants to develop audiences for both contemporary and African dance; her work sits in an interesting place merging forms to create one vocabulary; it is therefore not what either Western or African audiences might expect but an exciting hybrid. vimeo/55603753#
