Inspiration came from a 10 day camping trip to Uluru during 1980, where Shane Howard had a ‘spiritual awakening’. It brought ‘the fire in his belly’ to the surface, over injustices to the Australian indigenous peoples. He realized this country that he grew up in, and thought was his, wasn’t.
