Inspiration for us all. We woke up this morning to see this post from a proud father Curtis Lotter. His son Sam won his first Light 160 Quarter Midget race on Sunday. Those of us who know this family can understand why this is such a big deal. I remember Sam when he started at Little T Speedway at 4 1/2 years old. Sam had many challenges and was far from focused. At times he would be racing around the track looking everywhere but in front of him. We would actually pray to God that he would make it through the race. Those of us that were there understand what I am getting at. I remember his family hauling his car and baby sister in a stroller back and fourth in the pit area struggling not only to get him on the track but to keep him on the track. Many wondered how they did it. As time has gone on Sams determination was not going away. While having some challenges at times focusing as a racer needs to do, no one in that family was going to give up. Sam is now 12 years old and we found out this morning that he won his first Light 160 race! His parents and all who know him are very proud of his accomplishments and perseverance. Please join us in congratulating Sam and his family, Dad Curtis Lotter and Mom Candace Lotter. It goes to show you that any challenge can be over come. Great Job Sam Lotter !
