Instagram user, Steven Malukchik, has gained some Internet notoriety for his delightful artwork on Starbucks coffee sleeves (see link below). But Starbucks is none too happy. They are quoted as saying, You know...we pay a good five cents for every one of our coffee sleeves and if people just randomly took 10 of them each time to draw on...wed be out of business in...well, wed have to raise the price of our coffees in order to make ends meet. Asked whether Starbucks is seeking any monetary compensation for the stolen property (Starbucks rules, which you are adhering to when you enter the establishment - forbids the taking of more than two of any one item when you buy any one item) Glenn Reddich, owner of the Starbucks in Malukchiks area, states, We have no proof he stole them from us...but, since its located two blocks from his house, we are figuring he probably did. We are half-tempted to pay him to draw his likeness on one of our coffee cuffs and then post it with the words, Have You Seen This Man? on our wall, but I think it will only meet with guffaws and an endless stream of Instagram users just coming in to take a photo of themselves next to it...so they can post it online. Asked if that was indeed the Starbucks shop where he acquired the coffee cuffs, Malukchik responded, Hell, theres three Starbucks - all located two blocks from my house.
