Soo many other life applications not just rampant consumerism... Fill in your own blank. My first thought was applying this to the columbine shooting in 99 where whats wrong was blamed on video games (largely spearheaded by a senator from Texas I believe who had never even played one, much less cared to know/researched anything about them) anyway, tangent aside a MUCH better question would have been why did they feel justified?
