~~~ Instead of worrying about a problem day and night, We could be thinking about what God says 24/7. ~~~ Cathy Crabtree People say that they can’t think about God day and night, but yet let worry and fear take up their time. When they are at work, they worry; at home, they worry; asleep, they dream about worry. Faith comes from hearing God’s Word (Rom. 10:17); worry comes by hearing something other than God. What we choose to fill our mind with will determine what we think about (Prov. 23:7). Whether we’re at work, home, or asleep, we can think on good things which means we can think about and live by what God says. Choosing to believe God and act on what He says takes effort to do; but with practice, gets easier and easier (Heb. 5:14). Every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:13, 14 …Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 As he thinketh in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. Psalm 127:2 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart for they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. Proverbs 4:20-27
