Instructor Profile Senior Grandmaster Travis has been involved in the training of all the black belts in the NATKDA and also in the Elkhart Charter School for Chun Moo Hapikdo USA. The following, highlights one of the outstanding Black Belts that Grandmaster Travis has had the honor of training and promoting. John Bucks 3rd Dan Tae Kwon Do, 2nd Dan Hapkido Mr Bucks stated training in Tae Kwon Do Chung Do Kwan July 25, 1989 He received his1st degree black belt 9/21/91 He received the Presidential Sports Award Feb 1992 His 2nd degree black belt, was earned 8/21/93 He received his 2nd degree black belt in Hapkido May 3, 2014 He earned his 3rd degree black belt 8/8/2014 Mr Bucks has over 1000 hrs of instructing. Among many students were many police officers, military personnel Mr Bucks has instructed at Notre Dame Tae Kwon Do Club. He has participated in 10 demos He has participated in 8 instructor seminars, earning his Gold Instructor Patch. He has attended a seminar with Wally Jay and Remey Presas. He has competed at several open tournaments He has also competed at several association, state tournaments competing in point, full contact and forms He has competed in Kickboxing fights in Michigan Indiana Georgia Mr Bucks has been a Judge at many kickboxing fights. Mr Bucks is known for his kicking ability, using proper technique and generating tremendous power. Mr Bucks was sparring a man, who was 6 5”, and Mr Bucks was the first person that was able to knock him out with a kick to his head. Senior Grandmaster Travis says that Mr Bucks is credit to the League of Dans, and always gives his best to the students placed under his instructor. He truly represents the spirit of Chung Do Kwan.
