The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in the areas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery. Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Instructor, Urology. Responsibilities The incumbents will be expected to contribute in clinical work and teaching. He/she will play a role in the upcoming stone clinic, provide senior cover for inpatients in critical times; play a role in resident education and training/supervision. He/she will help in proper record keeping and documentation in wards and SDC and provide cover for the lithotripsy service. The instructor may also be posted as the first line urology cover at designated secondary hospitals in line with the section’s plan to expand the service to these areas. During this period, it would be expected that the candidate should identify one research topic and complete a manuscript for publication and work on a research grant proposal. Requirements The candidates must have completed at least 5 years of structured post-graduate training in a reputable institution. S/he should either possess or be eligible to undertake FCPS Part II examination or equivalent.
