Insulting President Jonathan is Now a Punishable Offence – Presidential Vuvuzela, Major General Doyin Okupe Those who are in the habit of calling President Goodluck Jonathan names may soon be in the black book of the presidency, as such act would no longer be tolerated, the presidency has said. According to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Vuvuzela affairs, Major General Doyin Okupe, insulting President Jonathan is now a punishable offence. Name-callings such as “clueless” and “drunkard” will henceforth be punished according to the Attack lion. “Being a critic is no license to insult and abuse government officials; most especially the President of the nation,” Okupe argued. He, therefore, said that his office will correct the trend even it will tantamount to doing it by “force”. Dr Okupe added that “when you say the President is a drunkard and so forth, you no longer deserve any respect.” He insisted that being a social critic is not a license to smear or defame anyone’s character, most especially the President’s. Such proclamation, however, seems paradoxical to the affirmation of the Otuokean on Tuesday during his declaration at the Evil square, Abuja. Papa Peace had pledged that his administration will not punish or send to exile anyone that attacks his person or his government. You see why Okupe cannot be trusted? The Otuokean say kontinu to yab me, no problem, God will see us. The Vuvuzela Attack lion say, Yab the shoeless one and go to prison. Oya General Okupe, which prison should I deposit myself going by your new degree 101? Yeye no dey smell again?
