This position requires routine repair and maintenance of equipment in addition to other duties. The Seal Coat Laborer will communicate daily the project status with project manager/estimating staff about the project. In addition, this person will ensure that all materials are installed per specifications for the project and all work is completed with Pavement Surface Control Standards. Must have ability to apply concepts of basic geometry. Pavement Striper A pavement striper has the job of marking out the various traffic lanes, setting parking bumpers in parking lots, marking parking spaces in parking lots and adding signs to various traffic and parking areas. This job requires an ability to work under timelines and with a great deal of accuracy and precision. In addition a pavement striper must be able to understand verbal and written directions, especially with regards to the design or layout of a given parking area or traffic flow pattern. Crack Sealer The Crack Seal Laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor at parking lots and roadways by operating one or several types of maintenance equipment. This position requires routine repair and maintenance of equipment in addition to other duties. The Seal Coat Laborer will communicate daily the project status with project manager/estimating staff about the project. In addition, this person will ensure that all materials are installed per specifications for the project and all work is completed with Pavement Surface Control Standards. Traffic Control Flagger CURRENT STATE OF DELAWAWARE FLAGGER CARD REQUIRED TRAFFIC CONTROL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED PERSONAL FLAGGING EQUIPMENT (REFER TO FLAGGING HANDBOOK) Position requires the following: 1. Good communication skills 2. Ability to warn of hazards 3. Ability to stand for long periods of time 4. Work in extreme weather conditions 5. Assist in placement of traffic control devices and equipment Set Up Person CURRENT DELAWARE STATE FLAGGER CARD REQUIRED PERSONAL FLAGGING EQUIPMENT (REFER TO FLAGGING HANDBOOK) Set up person must meet or exceed requirements for flagger listed above. Position requires the following: 1. Read and understand traffic control plans 2. Set up traffic control devices according to traffic control plans 3. Record placement of traffic control devices 4. Operate traffic control vehicles and equipment 5. Flag when required Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) TCS must be State certified. Possess and maintain a current TCS and Flaggers card. Must be able to meet or exceed requirements for flagger and set up person listed above. Position requires the following 1. Excellent communication skills 2. Technical job knowledge 3. Problem solving 4. Organizational skills 5. Good judgment 6. Prioritizing 7. Training employees 8. Draw traffic control plans 9. Meet strict requirements for documentation accuracy and deadlines
