Interesting: 43 of the 50 most violent cities were in Latin America, Honduras, Venezuela, Mexico and Brazil taking top honors and Colombia, El Salvador close behind. Not to be outdone by Latin America, in the USA St Louis, Detroit, New Orleans and Baltimore also made the list though not in the upper echelons. Only two cities were not from the Americas and both were from South Africa. The study did not include areas where war was raging or the middle east and muslim Africa would have taken all the honors.
