Interesting. I can never recall posting the Dougie McLean song Caledonia on this page before. Can this be the first time? This version, by Lisa Kelly, is performed at Slane Castle in Ireland. While the song is the one and only Caledonia, the treatment is different, and in some hard to pin down way quite Irish -- not Scottish at all. Still, an excellent listen! Thanks are past due to my pal Bill Cowan, admin of the Yes Dunblane Facebook page, where I found this. Bill is an indefatigable gatherer of news and views regarding the independence movement; and his sometimes obscure finds together with the days prominent stories are all posted on the ‘Yes Dunblane’ Facebook page on an almost hourly basis — well worth a ‘like’ especially if you are a news junkie. One day Bill will have a life, but not until Scotland is independent again, I fear. Until then, he will be too busy aggregating news and views in the service of the rest of us
