Interesting. Not sure the matrix of types has any scientific justification, although theres probably a genetic link between hair color, hair type (curly, etc.), and eye color... not sure how height would weigh into it. Seems like freckles, or lack thereof, would also be worth looking at. I thought the comment about them all being light skinned /pale was on point, I have known several darker skinned folks of varying ethnic backgrounds with natural red hair (not auburn). I was also interested by how freaked out people get when average folks are photographed without being glamorized. It didnt seem to me that the author went out of her way to pick unusual subjects, just that she photographed them in a rather unadorned fashion. Were so used to photos of people being presented in a particular way, and to certain classes of people being left out of our imagery, that it shocking when someone deviates from that formula.
