Interesting, but I don’t believe for a minute that news media are not covering the issue because it is being presented boringly. That’s a dodge. News media are not covering it, and have not been covering it, because their Citizen Kane owners don’t want the public to comprehend how high the stakes are. The cables companies and the news media giants sleep in the same bed, eat at the same table, and are creatures of Wall Street. Net neutrality should have been a top issue in the recent elections. It should be a major ongoing news story, because once the telecommunications giants—Wall Street—has the power to control our access to the Internet the last hope of rescuing the republic from the surveillance state goes down the drain, and the news media have known this all along, just as they knew that sub-prime mortgages could blow up in the economy’s face. To say that the cable companies have made their case boringly is to give them cover. They’re delighted ot to have their case discussed publicly, because their case stinks to high heaven.
