Interesting but inconclusive bits of backstory on attempts to identify this film cataloged at LOC as [UNIDENTIFIED THEISEN NO. 1: TRIPTYCH POEM] 1926. The only possible lead came from Brownlow, who in 1999 recalled seeing a film like this one in the 1960s, a 400 print he speculated dates from the 1920s. After seeing [TRIPTYCH POEM] at the Giornate del Cinema Muto in 2001, he (and apparently others) said they thought the actor in the closing section of the film was Joseph Strickland, a character actor at MGM in the mid-1920s.
