Interesting enough, today is the 100th anniversary of Mothers Day...in 1914 President Wilson officially deemed the second Sunday of May as the holiday for celebrating mothers. Obviously, mothers should be celebrated every day of the year and those mothers prior to 1914 should definitely be recognized but I am so glad a holiday actually exist so we take a moment to give thanks to the person who brought us into this world and/or raised us into the being that we are. Motherhood is such a sacred calling and sacrifice! I get the honor of watching women transform into mothers and let me tell you, it is powerful. And it is not for the weak at heart. These mothers are strong, instinctual and beautifully real. Cheers! to all you mothers out there, you have all my respect.
