Interesting, how these politicians (both seasoned and wannabes) - TopicsExpress

Interesting, how these politicians (both seasoned and wannabes) have converted this election into a great Indian tamasha. Saw a pic of Gul Panag at the Golden Temple, helping arrange the shoes of the common people as an act of charity. I wonder, had this not been the polling phase, would she have done that as a genuine act? Some other politicians sharing a meal with the poor and downtrodden, or a free chai session with the commoners, all add to this grand tamasha. Why dont you do these all through the year? Definitely will help you connect more with the people, help them in understanding you as a leader in a much better way. There are some like Hema Malini and Moonmoon Sen, otherwise perfect snobbish morons, walking the dusty roads to connect with the voters. But before they arrive, the roads are cleaned with water, and often at such places, where to fill a pot of drinkable water, people walk for miles. Why this tamasha, madam?? This poll14 so far has been the one that has resorted to the ugliest war of words, thereby adding some more masala to this existing tamasha. Its easy to get disoriented with the current state of affair, but what re-instates the hope is when I see a 90-year old man coming out of the polling booth with a smile on his face and his finger held high, or a man waiting in the que supporting himself on his crutches. They havent lost faith in democracy and politics yet. Why should I?
