Interesting read. And up here, when the troopers get to the village (any village, pick one) everybody in town either refuses to talk and cooperate, or they outright lie about what happened because they are going to take care of it themselves. This summer we had two troopers murdered when they responded to the village of Tanana. The villagers dont want roads to their communities because then the world would have access to witness the atrocities they do to each other. Their solution is to ban the criminal from the village, so they end up in places like Fairbanks and Anchorage and just continue on their criminal careers there. They claim its their cultural right to do this stuff to each other, and thats bullshit. Straight up.
